While people at home are loving ‘Welcome to the Jungle’, his film ‘Bhoot Bangla’ has claimed the number one spot in Pakistan. Here is how it happened.

Akshay Kumar’s ‘Bhoot Bangla’ was released in theaters earlier this year and premiered on the OTT platform Netflix on June 12. This horror-comedy is being widely appreciated in Pakistan, just as it is in India and other countries; it has even secured the number one spot on Netflix’s top 10 trending list.

Top 10 films in Pakistan
According to Netflix, ‘Bhoot Bangla’ currently holds the top spot in Pakistan, followed by Madhuri Dixit and Tripti Dimri’s ‘Maa Behen’ at number two. Indian projects account for four of the top 10 titles. Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt’s ‘Kalank’ ranks third, while ‘Dhurandhar’ sits at number five.

In India, too, ‘Bhoot Bangla’ is the number one film on Netflix. It is followed by ‘Dhurandhar’ at number two, ‘Maa Behen’ at three, Dhanush’s ‘Kaara’ at four, ‘29’ at five, ‘Kalank’ at six, ‘Voicemail for Isabelle’ at seven, ‘Office Romance’ at eight, ‘Kartavya’ at nine, and ‘Husbands in Action’ at ten.

‘Bhoot Bangla’ features Akshay Kumar alongside actors such as Wamiqa Gabbi, Rajpal Yadav, Paresh Rawal, and Asrani. The film proved to be a box-office hit, grossing over ₹250 crore worldwide.
