After Salaar and Kalki, 2898 AD, Prabhas made his return to the big screen, this time attempting a blend of comedy and horror instead of action. However, the film, directed by Maruthi, received a mixed response from critics and audiences. This impacted the film's earnings, but it performed well on the occasion of Makar Sankranti.

The Raja Saab has been in theaters for six days. This horror-comedy film was released on January 9, 2026.  Besides Prabhas, the film featured actors like Sanjay Dutt, Malavika Mohanan, Riddhi Kumar, and Nidhi Agarwal in important roles. There was considerable buzz in the industry since the film's announcement. However, after its release, the film didn't receive the expected response.

Prabhas's The Raja Saab had a very strong opening day, but the numbers subsequently dropped. The film earned the least on Tuesday. However, on the occasion of Makar Sankranti, the film's earnings finally saw a tremendous surge, even surpassing Dhurandhar.

While Dhurandhar collected only Rs 3 crore on Makar Sankranti, Prabhas's The Raja Saab has performed exceptionally well. According to Sacnilk's early trade estimates, Prabhas's The Raja Saab earned Rs 5.25 crore on its sixth day, Wednesday, at the domestic box office.
