Hartalika Teej 2026: Married women eagerly await Hartalika Teej throughout the year. This sacred festival is celebrated annually on the *Tritiya Tithi* (third day) of the *Shukla Paksha* (waxing phase of the moon) in the month of Bhadrapada. According to religious belief, this day is associated with the love and enduring marital bond between Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. On this occasion, women craft idols of Lord Shiva, Goddess Parvati, and Lord Ganesha out of clay and worship them with prescribed rituals.

Observing this fast is believed to bring blessings for a husband's longevity and a blissful married life. Women also observe a *Nirjala* fast (abstaining from both food and water) on this special occasion to pray for their family's well-being.
