Salman Khan is set to build a new six-story, sea-facing home for his family in Bandra. The Maharashtra Coastal Zone Management Authority (MCZMA) has approved the project. The plot is registered in the name of the actor's mother. Here is what Salman Khan's new home will look like:

According to IANS, Salman Khan has been living at Galaxy Apartments since 1974. After all these years, he is building a new home for his family. Salman Khan's new residence will be constructed in the Chimbai area of ​​Bandra, located just a short distance from his current home, Galaxy Apartments.

**No trees to be cut during construction**
According to MCZMA sources, the new house will be built on land registered in the name of Salman Khan's mother, Salma Khan. The plot previously housed a two-story structure built before 1956; the Khan family demolished it after purchase due to its dilapidated condition. The new building will feature a ground floor, stilt parking, and six upper floors, with a total construction area of ​​approximately 1,014 square meters. Sach Developers will undertake the construction of this project. The BMC issued the initial permit for the project in October 2025.

Reports also indicate that no trees will be cut down during the construction of Salman Khan's home. Instead, new trees of native species will be planted within the premises and the surrounding area. The new house will offer greater privacy to Salman Khan and his family, as it will be situated on a quiet lane away from the main road. There has been no official response from Salman Khan regarding this project.

**Did security concerns prompt the decision to build a new home?**
It is worth noting that in 2024, two assailants on a motorcycle opened fire outside Galaxy Apartments. Investigations revealed that the attackers were linked to the Bishnoi gang. Following this incident, Salman Khan's security was stepped up. The balcony where he used to greet his fans has since been secured with bulletproof glass. Given the circumstances, it can be surmised that the new house will also be designed with Salman Khan's security in mind.
