Several big Bollywood films are lined up for release in 2026. Sai Pallavi and Junaid Khan's romantic drama 'Mere Raho' is also on this list. Now, reports suggest that the film's release date is being changed. This is due to Salman Khan's upcoming action film 'Battle of Galwan'. Junaid Khan and Sai Pallavi's love story was initially scheduled for an April release, but will now hit theaters in July 2026.

This change is happening because 'Battle of Galwan' is set for an April release. This film is based on the novel 'India's Most Fearless 3'. A source told Bollywood Hungama, "Until recently, the makers had locked April 24th for 'Mere Raho'. They felt it would be the perfect time to release the film, but now there are reports that 'Mere Raho' will be pushed to July 2026."
July is perfect for 'Mere Raho'
The source added, "July is a much better month for a film like 'Mere Raho'. Such films need time and the right screen space to perform well at the box office. This summer period will give the film a chance to perform without the hustle and bustle of festivals and holidays." The source further added that pushing the release date will give this romantic drama a smoother run at the box office.
'Battle of Galwan' to release on April 17th
This change has also been made considering the busy calendar of 2026. Salman Khan's film is releasing on April 17th, while films like 'Raja Shivaji' and 'The Devil Wears Prada 2' are lined up for May. The source said that the producers probably decided to move the film to a date where it wouldn't face any clashes.

'Mere Raho' is a remake of a Korean film.
It's worth noting that Junaid Khan and Sai Pallavi's 'Mere Raho' is a remake of the 2011 Korean film 'One Day'. It was extensively filmed in Sapporo, Japan, during the Snow Festival. The film was announced in July 2023, and its working title was initially 'One Day'. It was originally planned for release on Valentine's Day 2025. Later, its title was officially changed to 'Mere Raho'.
