**Maha Abhishek of Shri Radha Rani during Brahma Muhurta**
On the occasion of Radha Ashtami, the *Maha Abhishek* of Shri Radha Rani was performed around 4:00 AM during the *Brahma Muhurta*. In accordance with religious traditions, various herbs, silver vessels (*kalash*), and other ritualistic offerings were used during the ceremony. Amidst the chanting of mantras and the observance of prescribed rituals, devotees, immersed in devotion, sought *darshan* (holy viewing) of the deity.

**Radha Ashtami Vrat Brings Love, Happiness, and Peace**
Radha Ashtami is celebrated as the day of Radha Rani's divine appearance. Observing a fast and worshipping Radha-Krishna with proper rituals on this day brings love, happiness, and peace into one's life. This festival is celebrated on a grand scale in Mathura, Vrindavan, and the surrounding Braj region.

**Devotion to Radha Rani Cleanses Sins**
Radha is considered Lord Krishna's 'Hladini Shakti'—the divine energy that bestows bliss. Worship of Krishna is considered incomplete without her. It is believed that devotees who worship and observe the fast with complete faith and devotion on Radha Ashtami receive the blessings of both Radha Rani and Lord Krishna. This brings happiness and peace to life and leads to the eradication of sins.

**Shriji Was Born to Vrishabhanu and Kirtida**
According to Hindu mythology, Radha Rani was born in Barsana during the *Dvapara Yuga*. Her father was Vrishabhanu, and her mother was Kirtida. According to a popular legend, Radha did not open her eyes during her infancy until she beheld Lord Krishna for the first time.

When Krishna appeared before her, she opened her eyes and smiled at the sight of Him. This event signifies the profound spiritual bond shared between her and Krishna.
