Teething Pain: When a baby starts teething, it's a challenging time for both the child and the parents. Itching, swelling, and pain in the gums not only make the baby irritable but also negatively impact their sleep and appetite. This often leads to frequent waking at night, causing parents great distress. If you're also going through this phase with your child, this news is for you. Today, we're going to share four things you can do to ease your little one's discomfort. Renowned pediatrician Dr. Ravi Malik shared the details in a video on his Instagram handle. Let's find out...

1. Massage the gums
When a baby is experiencing pain, parents can gently massage the gums with a clean finger. This provides relief and a soothing sensation. This often reduces crying, as the massage provides temporary relief and relaxation.
2. Massage with a Muslin Cloth
Instead of your finger, you can also use a muslin cloth. Soak the cloth in cold water and gently massage the baby's gums with it. This will provide relief to the baby.
3. Teethers
You can also give your baby teethers to relieve pain and irritability. Dr. Ravi explains that when babies chew on them, they experience relief and a sense of comfort.

4. Fruit Puree
Parents can also give their babies fruit puree to provide pain relief. Fruit puree is not only easy to swallow, but its mildly cool temperature has a soothing effect on the gums. This provides temporary relief from swelling and pain. Furthermore, fruits are rich in nutrients that are beneficial for the baby's health.
