Neeraj Chopra, one of India's greatest athletes and two-time Olympic medalist in javelin throw, is in great form these days. He won the Paris Diamond League after crossing the 90-meter mark in the Doha Diamond League. He also won the Ostrava Golden Spike event. Although he could not cover the distance of 90 meters in Paris and Ostrava, his confidence must have been boosted. Now he will be seen playing in the Neeraj Chopra Classic Javelin Throw competition. However, Pakistan's Olympic champion Arshad Nadeem will not participate in this tournament either. There is a great rivalry between Arshad and Neeraj and fans enjoy the competition between these two. Now Nadeem has revealed that he may be seen playing in a competition next time. Neeraj finished second after Julian Weber in Doha and then in the Orlen Janusz Kusoczynski Memorial competition. At the same time, he secured first place in Paris and Ostrava. However, Pakistan's Arshad Nadeem was missing in all these four tournaments. Nadeem has not participated in many competitions this season, he has been very selective about it. He is currently focusing on training in Pakistan. He did participate in the Asian Athletics Championship last month, in which Neeraj did not play. Nadeem won the gold medal there with a throw of 86.40 meters.

Now this Pakistani javelin thrower has said that his full focus is on the World Athletics Championship. He attended an event as the chief guest at the World Olympic Day celebrations in Lahore. On this occasion, Nadeem said, 'My focus is on the World Athletics Championship and I am working hard for it. It is very hot in Lahore. I am going to England soon and will train there for a month.' The World Athletics Championship will be held in Tokyo from 13 to 21 September and both Arshad and Neeraj are expected to participate in it. There will be a tough competition between the two there.
Nadeem created history by breaking the Olympic javelin throw record with a throw of 92.97 meters at the Paris Olympics last year. At the same time, Neeraj finished second with a throw of 89.45 meters. Nadeem shared his views on his achievements during the event in Lahore and encouraged young athletes. He said on this occasion, 'It is a matter of pride for the players to celebrate World Olympic Day and I am proud that I am celebrating it as an Olympic gold medalist for the first time.' He said, 'My message to the youth is to stay focused. I came from a small place and won the gold medal. So, if they work hard, they can also win medals.'
