Both artists appeared overjoyed upon receiving the award, with happiness clearly visible on their faces. Additionally, actor R. Madhavan was awarded the Padma Shri.

Alka Yagnik began her musical career in the 1980s. She has sung numerous outstanding songs for Hindi films, and her work has set several records. Today, she was honored with the Padma Bhushan award by the President.

R. Madhavan has been acting in Hindi and South Indian films for nearly 30 years. Mammootty is considered a superstar of Malayalam cinema. He has acted in over 400 films throughout his career and is known as an exceptional actor who effortlessly immerses himself in his characters. He, too, was honored with the Padma Bhushan award today. His son, Dulquer Salmaan, was present at the ceremony and was seen applauding his father.

**Satish Shah awarded Padma Shri posthumously**
The late actor Satish Shah was posthumously honored with the Padma Shri, an award received by his brother. Satish Shah was a veteran of the Indian film and television industry. He made a mark for himself by portraying a range of roles—from serious to comedic—in numerous Bollywood films, including *Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro*, *Main Hoon Na*, *Kal Ho Naa Ho*, and *Fanaa*. He passed away on October 25 last year at the age of 74.

Anil Rastogi also received the Padma Shri award.
The renowned 83-year-old artist Anil Rastogi has been active across theatre, film, television, radio, and OTT platforms. He hails from Lucknow and was honored with the Padma Shri award today. Anil Rastogi is also known for playing a notable role in the film *Ishaqzaade*.

Speaking to ANI, Anil Kumar Rastogi mentioned that he is a scientist who has spent the majority of his life engaged in research. Despite this, receiving one of India's highest civilian honors in the field of arts is a unique achievement in itself. He says, "I am a scientist, yet I am being awarded in the field of arts. Perhaps I am the first person in the arts sector whose primary profession is science."
