Low oxygen levels and high altitude can lead to 'Acute Mountain Sickness.' Consequently, the first day upon arrival in Leh is dedicated entirely to rest.
As a precaution, you may consult your doctor and carry appropriate medication before starting the journey.

Keep your body hydrated. Continue consuming water, electrolytes, and glucose. Avoid overeating, alcohol consumption, and the use of antidepressant medications.
In the tents/camps at Nubra and Pangong, electricity is available for only a few hours. Hot water for morning baths is provided via solar heating or in buckets.
There are no mobile network, Wi-Fi, ATM, bank, or petrol pump facilities at Pangong; therefore, carry sufficient cash and your medications...
