Guests truly appreciate chilled drinks during the hot and humid weather. While store-bought soft drinks or packaged juices are options, homemade traditional drinks offer a unique and superior taste.
The best part is that they do not require excessive effort or expensive ingredients. For your Teej gathering, you can prepare Creamy Rose Lassi, Shahi Kesar Thandai, Sweet and Tangy Aam Panna, Lemon-Mint Cooler, Spicy Jaljeera, and Chilled Saffron Milk. Shahi Kesar Thandai (Royal Saffron Thandai)

Ingredients
2 glasses of chilled milk
10-12 almonds
8-10 cashews
1 teaspoon fennel seeds
1/2 teaspoon black peppercorns
1 teaspoon poppy seeds
2-3 green cardamoms
5-6 saffron strands
2-3 teaspoons sugar
Rose petals
Method
Step 1- First, soak the almonds, cashews, fennel seeds, poppy seeds, black peppercorns, and cardamom in water for a while.
Step 2- Next, grind them into a fine paste.
Step 3- Now, take the chilled milk and mix in the prepared paste and sugar.
Step 4- Soak the saffron strands in a little lukewarm milk and add this mixture to the Thandai. Step 5- Mix all the ingredients well and refrigerate for a while.
Step 6- Garnish with saffron strands and rose petals before serving.
Tip: You can also add some pistachios for a richer flavor.
Rose Lassi

Ingredients
2 cups chilled yogurt (curd)
1/2 cup chilled milk
2-3 tablespoons rose syrup
2 tablespoons sugar
2-3 ice cubes

Method
Step 1- Add chilled yogurt, milk, rose syrup, and sugar into a large vessel.
Step 2- Whisk well using a churner or a blender.
Step 3- Now, add ice cubes and blend once more.
Step 4- Pour this pink-hued lassi into tall glasses, garnish with pistachios and rose petals, and serve.
Tip: If the lassi seems too thick, you can add a little more chilled milk.
Lemon-Mint Cooler

2 raw mangoes
3-4 tablespoons sugar
1/2 teaspoon roasted cumin powder
1/2 teaspoon black salt
A few mint leaves
2 glasses of cold water

Method
Step 1- Boil or roast the raw mangoes and scoop out the pulp.
Step 2- Add sugar, black salt, and roasted cumin powder to the pulp and mix well.
Step 3- Blend the mixture along with the mint leaves.
Step 4- Mix the prepared pulp into cold water and adjust the taste as needed.
Step 5- Serve the Aam Panna in glasses with ice.
Tip: You can prepare the Aam Panna concentrate in advance and store it in the refrigerator.

Spicy Jaljeera

2 glasses of cold water
1 tsp roasted cumin powder
1/2 tsp black salt

Method
Step 1- Blend the mint leaves and fennel seeds with a little water.
Step 2- Strain the mixture and pour it into a jug.
Step 3- Add the cold water, roasted cumin powder, black salt, chaat masala, and lemon juice; mix well.
Step 4- Add ice to glasses, pour in the Jaljeera, sprinkle a little cumin powder on top, and serve.
