Hariyali Teej Remedy for Couples: Hariyali Teej is considered a major festival associated with marital bliss and the well-being of one's spouse. It is believed that worshipping Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati with devotion on this day fosters peace, happiness, and love in married life. There is also a tradition of performing specific religious remedies on Hariyali Teej to resolve any resentment, stress, or misunderstandings between a husband and wife. One such remedy involves camphor and cloves, practiced to bring positivity and mutual harmony into the marital relationship.

Religious Significance of Hariyali Teej
In Sanatan tradition, Hariyali Teej is associated with Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. It is believed that Goddess Parvati performed severe penance to attain Lord Shiva as her husband. For this reason, married women observe a fast on this day, praying for their husbands' longevity, good health, and a happy married life. Meanwhile, unmarried women pray for a desired life partner and the removal of obstacles to marriage. Hariyali Teej is celebrated with great enthusiasm and devotion, particularly in several states of North India. In the year 2026, this festival will be celebrated on August 15th.
Camphor and Clove Remedy to Foster Love Between Husband and Wife
If there are frequent disagreements in married life or tension is rising over trivial matters, this traditional remedy involving camphor and cloves can be performed on Hariyali Teej. According to religious belief, this helps enhance positivity in the home environment and fosters love and understanding within the marital relationship.
How to Perform the Remedy?
On the day of Hariyali Teej, after sunset, take a piece of *Bhimseni* camphor and place it before Lord Shiva. Next, take seven whole cloves. Ensure that all the cloves are intact and unbroken. Now, holding all seven cloves in your right hand, meditate on Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati, and pray for love, trust, happiness, and mutual understanding between the husband and wife. Next, chant the 'Om Namah Shivaya' mantra for 11 rosary rounds (malas). Once the chanting is complete, place the seven cloves on the camphor and light it.
**Invoking Positivity in the Home**
There is a tradition of wafting the smoke rising from the burning camphor and cloves throughout different parts of the house. It is believed that this dispels negativity and purifies the atmosphere. After the camphor has burned out completely, take a little water in your hand, circle it around the lamp, and then offer it to the ground.

Finally, pray to Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati for the family's happiness and peace, as well as for love and harmony in the relationship between husband and wife. Conclude the ritual by chanting 'Om Namah Shivaya' five times. This remedy is based on religious beliefs; if there has been long-standing tension in the relationship, mutual dialogue and understanding should be given equal importance.
