**Akshay and Saif to work together after 18 years**
'Haivan' will feature not only Akshay Kumar but also Saif Ali Khan. The two actors will be seen sharing the screen for the first time in 18 years; they last appeared together in the 2008 film 'Tashan'. Akshay also recently shared the screen with Raveena Tandon after many years in the film 'Welcome to the Jungle'.

**Remake of the Malayalam film 'Oppam'**
'Haivan' is a remake of the 2016 Malayalam film 'Oppam', which starred Mohanlal. In this remake, alongside Akshay and Saif, Shreya Pilgaonkar and Saiyami Kher will play pivotal roles. Boman Irani also features in a significant role. Reports suggest that Akshay will play the antagonist in the film. Shooting for the movie began in August 2025.

**When will the film be released?**
On Saturday, the makers of 'Haivan' announced that the film is scheduled for release on September 11 of this year. The film is jointly produced by KVN Productions and Thespian Films, with Priyadarshan directing. The story has been written by Rohan Shankar, who previously penned the dialogues for the hit film 'Sayyara'.
