In today's digital era, a smartphone is not merely a communication tool but has become our digital identity. The central government has launched several mobile apps for the convenience of the public that handle everything from financial matters to essential documents with ease. If you have these five apps on your phone, there is no need to carry physical documents with you.

DigiLocker
This app serves as a digital locker for securely storing your essential identity proofs and financial documents. You can digitally store your Aadhaar card, PAN card, driving license, and school or college certificates in it. Notably, the documents stored in this app are legally valid, facilitating easy paperless verification.
UMANG
This is a single app that provides access to hundreds of government services. Through UMANG, you can manage PF-related tasks, pension services, PAN card applications, and utility bill payments (water and electricity), as well as book gas cylinders, access passport services, and avail benefits from various state government schemes—all in one place.
BHIM
This is the government's official UPI app for secure and easy digital payments. It allows you to make instant bank transfers, pay by scanning QR codes, settle utility bills, and conduct financial transactions directly from your linked bank accounts.
mAadhaar
This app ensures your digital identity is always with you. It allows you to download your Aadhaar card in digital format, generate a Virtual ID, and even lock or unlock your biometrics for security purposes.

mParivahan
This app is essential for vehicle owners. It allows you to store your vehicle's Registration Certificate (RC) and your driving license (DL) in digital format. Additionally, you can access vehicle details and traffic-related services without needing any physical paperwork.
