'Dhurandhar 2': 'Dhurandhar 2' will be a pan-India blockbuster! Releasing on this date in 5 languages...

Akshay Khanna and Ranveer Singh's film 'Dhurandhar' has achieved something at the box office that is usually expected only from films starring big superstars. Despite being released only in Hindi, the film has made history in terms of earnings and surprised everyone by consistently grossing over 20 crore rupees for several weeks. Notably, the film received tremendous love in South India as well, where word-of-mouth and social media trends turned 'Dhurandhar' into a pan-India phenomenon. Now, preparations are underway to take this tremendous success to the next level.

Released in Hindi on December 5, 2025, this film has now become the biggest Indian film of 2025. The producers officially announced on Wednesday that 'Dhurandhar 2' will be released on March 19, 2026, on the occasion of Eid. (File photo)

In fact, distributors and exhibitors in the South consistently highlighted this demand. Considering this organic demand from South Indian audiences in South India and abroad, the producers decided that 'Dhurandhar 2' will be available in 4 major regional languages from day one.

The film's sequel will be released simultaneously in Hindi and 4 other languages: Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam – a total of 5 languages. This will be a major pan-India and global rollout.

This film, releasing on Eid 2026, not only plans to cater to audiences across the country but will also further strengthen Ranveer Singh's star power at a global level.

The film is directed by National Award winner Aditya Dhar and produced by Jio Studios and B62 Studios. Additionally, 'Dhurandhar 2' will face direct competition at the box office from big films like Yash's 'Toxic' and Adivi Sesh's 'Dacoit'.

Dhurandhar continues to break records. This has become the first Indian film to earn ₹20 crore or more for 17 consecutive days. Maintaining a collection of over ₹20 crore for two full working weeks and three weekends is a feat that even blockbusters like Dangal and RRR couldn't achieve.

As the film approaches its fourth week, it has crossed the ₹900 crore mark worldwide. It has become the highest-grossing Indian film of 2025, surpassing 'Kantara Chapter 1' and 'Chhava'.
