Beauty Tips: Do your makeup this way during the summer—sweat won't affect it, and your facial glow will remain intact..

As soon as summer begins, the biggest nuisance is perspiration. For women, in particular, this sweat becomes a major headache, as the heat and humidity create a constant fear that their makeup will slide off or get ruined quickly. Consequently—whether attending an important office meeting or a social function—women often feel compelled to carry a small handheld fan (often referred to as a "makeup fan") or a full makeup kit with them at all times, just to ensure they can touch up their look whenever it gets spoiled.

When asked about this issue, Rohit, a renowned makeup artist from Delhi, suggested that instead of going through all this hassle, women should simply adopt specific summer-friendly makeup techniques that allow them to effortlessly maintain their beauty. With these methods, even perspiration won't be able to budge their makeup.

**Try the Ice Method**
Makeup artist Rohit advises gently rubbing a piece of ice—wrapped in a cloth—over your face for one or two minutes before applying makeup. This helps constrict the pores and reduces excessive sweating. Following this, use an oil-free (lightweight) moisturizer that hydrates the skin without adding any greasiness. He emphasized that during the summer, one should always use an oil-controlling primer; this helps regulate both sweat and oil production, ensuring the makeup stays put. He also advised against using heavy foundations.

**Opt for Lightweight Powders**
Beauty expert Rohit suggests setting your makeup in the summer by applying a loose powder to your face. Pay special attention to the forehead, nose, and chin. During this season, avoid using cream-based products. Instead, choose lightweight powder-based products to define your cheeks and contour your facial features. He also recommends ensuring that your kohl (kajal), mascara, and eyeliner are waterproof so they do not smudge or run when you sweat. Finally, be sure to finish your routine with a makeup setting spray; its function is to lock the entire look in place. Additionally, carry oil-blotting papers with you when stepping out; instead of rubbing your face, simply press them gently against your skin, as repeatedly wiping with a handkerchief can cause your makeup to rub off. Keep this in mind. Keep your hair loose. This helps reduce sweating.
