According to the Vedic calendar, the *Amavasya* tithi (lunar day) of the *Ashadha* month will begin at 6:49 PM on Monday, July 13, 2026, and conclude at 3:12 PM on Tuesday, July 14, 2026. Based on the *Udaya Tithi* (the sunrise tithi), *Ashadha Amavasya* will be observed on Tuesday, July 14, 2026. Performing holy baths, charity, *Tarpan*, *Shraddha* (ancestral rituals), and worship on this day is considered auspicious.
**Religious Significance of Ashadha Amavasya**
In the *Sanatan* tradition, *Ashadha Amavasya* is regarded as a day that bestows immense spiritual merit. In many regions, it is also known as *Halharini Amavasya*.
