Actor Ahan Shetty, son of Suniel Shetty, is set to return to the action genre following the success of the film ‘Border 2’. He is about to begin shooting for his next project, ‘Sanki’. The film is being directed by Tinu Suresh Desai, the acclaimed director known for the movie ‘Rustom’.

Written by Gyanendra Vasudev, ‘Sanki’ is fundamentally a love story, which will also feature intense and high-octane action sequences. Filming is scheduled to commence in Bhopal on October 30.

Ahan’s Careful Selection of Projects
Following his performance in ‘Border 2’ and the film’s remarkable success, Ahan has been very deliberate in choosing his subsequent projects. In ‘Sanki’, he will be seen portraying a new character. Following this, he will appear in Vikram Bhatt’s film ‘1920: Cold Winter’. Additionally, several other films featuring him are slated to begin production in 2027.

When Might the Film Be Released?
Director Tinu Suresh Desai, accompanied by his extensive crew, has already arrived in Bhopal. He is currently finalizing preparations ahead of the start of filming on October 30. For now, the plot and central theme of the film are being kept under wraps; the producers will gradually reveal further details in due course.

‘Sanki’ is being produced under the banners of We The People, Roaring River Productions, and Pals & Peers Entertainment. The film is scheduled for a theatrical release in the first half of 2027.

When Was ‘Border 2’ Released?
The film ‘Border 2’ was released on January 23, 2026.
It served as a sequel to the 1997 film ‘Border’. Ahaan played the role of Lieutenant Commander Mahendra Singh Rawat in it.
Apart from Ahaan, the film featured actors such as Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, Mona Singh, and Sonam Bajwa.
According to media reports, the film, which was made on a budget of ₹275 crore, earned approximately ₹464 crore.
