Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal and choreographer-influencer Dhanashree Verma have reportedly divorced. The two have broken up after 4 years of marriage. The two first met virtually during the COVID lockdown. In this meeting, Yuzvendra had asked Dhanashree Verma to learn dance. While learning dance, within 2 months, Yuzvendra proposed to Dhanashree for marriage. Dhanashree was shocked. Dhanashree said that the cricketers had no work amid the lockdown, so Yuzvendra decided to learn dance.

Dhanashree Verma spoke openly about Yuzvendra Chahal's marriage proposal in the dance reality show 'Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 11' last year. She revealed that after 2 months of dance training, he suddenly proposed to her and she was surprised by this. Dhanashree had said, "There were no matches during the lockdown and all the cricketers were sitting at home and getting frustrated." Dhanashree Verma said, “During that time, one day Yuji decided that he wanted to learn dance. Yuji had seen my videos on social media. It was a very professional student-teacher relationship, I want to make this very clear. Yuji took training from me for 2 months. Suddenly, after 2 months, he proposed to me. He doesn't even bat but he hit a six directly.”
