You've probably noticed that people wear various types of rings on their fingers, including iron rings. It is believed that every metal or gemstone ring is associated with a particular planet and deity. Let's learn why one should wear an iron ring and which finger is best for wearing it to reap its benefits.

According to astrology, wearing a ring made of any metal or gemstone can bring many benefits to a person. If a person wears the ring according to the prescribed rules, they will see many positive changes in their life, as metals and gemstones are associated with deities and all the planets.
Astrologer Pandit Kalki Ram from Ayodhya explains that, according to astrology, iron is associated with Lord Shani (Saturn). Religious belief holds that Lord Shani resides in iron. Therefore, people wear iron rings on their fingers to appease Shani. It is said that wearing an iron ring also provides relief from the effects of Shani's Sade Sati (a challenging period in a person's life).
If you wear an iron ring, it is believed to protect you from the negative effects of Shani, as well as Rahu and Ketu. Those whose horoscopes show Shani's Sade Sati should wear an iron ring. In such cases, it is considered auspicious to wear the iron ring on the middle finger of the right hand.
Additionally, if the positions of Rahu and Mercury are inauspicious in a person's horoscope, they should also wear an iron ring on the middle finger of their right hand. It is believed that this will strengthen the positions of Shani, Rahu, and Mercury in the horoscope.
Before wearing an iron ring, one should consult an astrologer. The iron ring should always be worn on a Saturday evening. While wearing the ring, one should also chant the beej mantra (seed mantra) of Lord Shani.
If you are wearing the ring on a Saturday, wearing it during the Rohini, Anuradha, and Uttara Bhadrapada nakshatras (lunar constellations) is considered particularly auspicious and brings many benefits. It is also believed to protect against the evil eye.

According to Pandit Ji, furthermore, if Saturn is in a particular position in the horoscope and is conjoined with Mercury, Venus, or the Sun, one should not wear an iron ring. It is considered quite harmful. In such a situation, the person should wear a silver ring.
