Traffic Rules news: A stern warning has come out for the drivers. The government has now implemented 5 such rules, which can be costly to ignore. Apart from challan, there is also a provision of punishment for violating these rules (vehicle challan rules). These changes made in the traffic rules are expected to improve road safety. This will reduce accidents and people will be able to keep each other safe by driving better.

What is the Motor Vehicle Act-
In the Motor Vehicle Act 2019 (Motor Vehicle Act 2019), a new change was made regarding traffic rules it was decided that the rules will be strict regarding some things for bike riders. If a person drives a bike wearing the wrong footwear, such as sleepers or slippers, then it can cause an accident. This situation is not only dangerous but a challan can also be issued by the traffic police. This rule is especially applicable for footwear like slippers, sleepers, sandals, and flip-flops. This change has been made to keep people safe.
Important reasons for challan -
Not following some rules while driving a bike can lead to challan. If more than 2 people sit on a bike, it is against the traffic rules (Incomplete documents challan). Apart from this, reasons like not using a helmet, the person sitting behind not wearing a helmet, not having a vehicle registration certificate or lack of pollution control certificate (PUC) can also lead to challan. It is important to follow these rules so that road safety is maintained and challenges can be avoided.
Penalty for not wearing a car seat belt -
Many times we pay fines unknowingly due to small negligence. Violation of rules by cab services like Ola, and Uber can also result in a heavy fine of Rs 25,000 to Rs 1 lakh (Challan on vehicle company). The fine for not wearing a car seat belt has now increased to Rs 1,000. Therefore, it is important to follow the rules while walking on the road.
Colour of clothes and challan action -
This may sound a bit strange, but it is also a rule that if a person is driving a car or bike wearing a black shirt or t-shirt (challan for black t-shirt), then that person can be challenged. If you wear dark-colored clothes while driving, then there can be a problem with the security check. In this situation, the camera does not work properly. The camera has difficulty identifying whether you have adopted the right safety measures or not. When the color of the clothes and safety equipment is the same, then it is not visible in the camera. This may make it seem that you have not followed the safety rules (New Traffic Rules). To avoid such a situation, it is better to wear light-colored clothes.
Challan for not wearing a helmet -
Not wearing a helmet while driving a bike leads to a challenge and most people know this, but still, they shy away from following the rule. Similarly, if the person sitting behind also does not wear a helmet (without a helmet driving challan), then a challan can be issued. Not using a seat belt while driving a car can also lead to a challenge. All these safety measures are necessary for the safety of you and others on the road. These rules should be followed, so that accidents can be avoided and fines can also be avoided.
Do not use mobile while driving -
When you are driving a car or bike, keep in mind that do not use mobile for any reason (Mobile driving challan). Attention can be diverted while using the phone, which can increase the risk of accident. Driving while using the phone is wrong under traffic rules and you may have to face a challan. This can be risky not only for you but also for other pedestrians. Therefore, it is important to stay away from mobile for a safe journey.
Challan can be issued in over limit -
Many times people drive very fast, but every road has a limit. If you cross this limit, you may be fined (Over Limit Challan). While driving, it is important to keep in mind that the speed limit is not violated. Driving fast can not only result in a fine but can also increase the risk of accidents. So follow the rules.
Driving by minors -
It has been seen many times that minor boys and girls drive without a license (driving without license chalan). This is not only dangerous but also a violation of rules. If you let someone drive without permission, you may have to face legal consequences. Such a mistake will not only affect your vehicle but action can also be taken against you. So always ensure that the person driving is licensed and is driving properly.
Challan for not giving way to emergency vehicle -
Whenever you are driving and see an emergency service vehicle in front, it is necessary to give way to it. If you do not do this, it is against the rules (Traffic Rules in India) and can endanger someone's life. In such a situation, by not paying attention, you can get into legal trouble and may also have to pay a heavy fine. Always give priority to the safety of others and essential services, so that no untoward happens.
Action for repeating mistakes again and again -
If you repeatedly do not give way to special vehicles on the road, it can prove to be a big mistake. If you do this continuously, you may have to face legal punishment. Under this, a heavy fine can be imposed under the Motor Vehicle Rules. For not giving way to any emergency vehicle, a fine of Rs 10,000 (Chalan for violation of rules) may have to be paid. Apart from this, if you make this mistake repeatedly, you can also be sentenced to up to 6 months. These rules are made for your safety and the welfare of the society.
