And that is the birth certificate. Many people think that the birth certificate is only used for getting admission in school. But let us tell you that the birth certificate is not only used for this but you have to use it for many other things in the future. It is also used to avail benefits in government schemes. Recently, the Government of India has issued a deadline for getting a birth certificate made and making changes in it. Know its process. 

Changes can happen till this date

The Government of India has set a deadline for making changes in the birth certificate. Not only this, people who do not have birth certificates can also apply for birth certificates by this date. The Government of India has set the final deadline for this as 27 April 2026.

After this, if any wrong information is recorded in someone's birth certificate, then no changes can be made in it. Apart from this, those who have not got their birth certificate made till now, they can also apply for the birth certificate till this date. 

There has been a change in the rules

In India, birth certificate could be made up to 15 years after birth. But now it has been changed. Now people above 15 years of age can also apply for birth certificate. Earlier the deadline for this was 31 December 2024. But now the government has changed it and extended this deadline till 27 April 2026.

If someone's birth certificate is not made, then he can go to the official website of the Government of India https://dc.crsorgi.gov.in/crs / and register himself online and apply for it. Apart from this, those who want to make changes or who are above 15 years of age will have to apply for it offline by going to the Municipal Corporation office or the concerned office. For which some necessary documents will also have to be submitted. After this there will be a verification process. Then the birth certificate will be issued.
