The events organized on Mahashivratri at the 1100-year-old historical Somnath Mahadev temple in Pali are very special and are praised all over the country. This time the Shiv Baraat that comes out during Mahashivratri is going to be very special in Pali. From cultural programs to bhajan evenings will be organized in it. Preparations have started in many temples including Somnath Temple, Peepeshwar Mahadev, and Pataleshwar Mahadev for Mahashivratri. Cleaning of 20 temples including the temple peak and courtyard was done in Somnath temple.

Chief priest Kamlesh Rawal said that Shiv devotees are excited about the events to be held on Mahashivratri. Shiv Baraat will be taken out on the eve of Shivratri. In which many tableaux based on the life of Lord Shiva-Parvati will be taken out. Religious and social organizations are engaged to make it attractive. Cultural programs and bhajan evenings will be organized in it.

Special kumkum is offered once a year.
Kumkum will be offered to Mahadev for the first time in the year during the Shiv Parvati marriage that takes place at night on Mahashivratri. This kumkum will be distributed among the devotees as a blessing. The number of devotees is high on Mahashivratri. Keeping this in mind, the barricading will be done in such a way that the devotees do not have to wait long for darshan.

Shivprakash Soni of Jodhpur's Siddhnath Mahadev Byavla Mandali along with 21 singers gave a melodious presentation of Mahadev's Byavla songs in Somnath Mahadev temple. The story of the marriage of Shiva and Parvati described in the Shiv Puran was narrated in Shiv Byavla amidst the noise of drums. The artists also gave a musical presentation of Shiva Baraat Aagman, Shiva Vivah Gathbandhan etc. for 6 hours continuously. Priest Kamlesh Rawal said that the attractive auspicious decoration of Parvati along with Mahadev was done at the Byavla singing event.
