The team of 'Chhori 2' participated in the two-day Amar Ujala Samvaad program of the year 2025. Actress Nusrat Bharucha, director Vishal Furia, and the film's dialogue writer Divya Prakash Dubey participated in the program. 'Both of us wanted to get out of the box'

Regarding casting Nusrat Bharucha in 'Chhori 2', director Vishal Furia said, 'The industry in which Nusrat and I are, there is a template for horror there for years. Horror films are being made in such a way that you will add a few scenes in it, then a song, make it a little horror and the horror film is ready. The actor, director and producer have to make the same film as has been made before. Nusrat said that every actor looks for something new, but it is not so, not every actor looks for something new. Everybody wants to do the same old things. They will not do anything new.

'Especially not with a new director. I made a film myself, it was successful too. Still, they did not want to work with me. In such a situation, you start looking for someone who thinks like you. I met Nusrat for a project. The situation was similar then as well. I was new and she was also put in a box. I was told to meet Nusrat but we are not going to work with her, just meet her. I was also new in the Hindi industry, so I did not understand that if I was not going to work with her then why was I meeting her?'

'My and Nusrat's hunger is the same'

Vishal Furia further said, 'When I met Nusrat, our meeting was very good. I felt that her hunger was the same as mine. Both of us are trying to come out of the same box. When this film was discussed, our producer Vikram Malhotra who had worked with Nusrat, said the same name at the same time and that was Nusrat's name. After this, we met them. Nusrat was the first and last choice.'

Announcement of 'Chhori 3'

During the program itself, Vishal Furia announced the next installment of 'Chhori'. When the director was asked about the third installment, he gave a positive response about it. He said, 'Yes, I will try to make it. The sequel of every film depends on the response it gets. The audience has liked the film a lot. It is very good. There are some ideas in mind. It will be made.' However, he said that it is a process and it will take some time.
