Salman Khan recently opened up about his alleged feud with singer Arijit Singh. The superstar called it a misunderstanding. In the Weekend Ka Vaar episode of Bigg Boss 19, Salman revealed that there was never any real animosity between the two. They are good friends. He also said that the misunderstanding wasn't Arijit's, but his.

Arijit went on stage to receive an award.
This story, which has been going on for almost a decade, dates back to the 2014 Star Guild Awards. At that time, Arijit Singh had become famous with his iconic song "Tum Hi Ho." He went on stage to receive an award. Tired and simply dressed after two consecutive shows, Arijit greeted the hosts, including Salman Khan.
Salman didn't like the comment.
When Arijit Singh came on stage, Salman teased him by asking, "Were you sleeping?" Arijit smiled and replied, "You guys put me to sleep, friend." The audience laughed. Salman Khan reportedly took this comment seriously and took it as an insult.
Rumors of songs being removed from films
This sparked speculation that Arijit had offended one of Bollywood's biggest stars. Over the next few years, rumors circulated that Salman had removed Arijit's songs from several of his films, including Kick, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, and Sultan. The most famous of these was "Jag Ghoomeya" from Sultan, which was later sung by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan instead of Arijit.
Arijit apologizes
When the matter did not subside, Arijit publicly apologized to Salman on social media in 2016. In an emotional post, the singer stated that he never intended to offend him and that the entire incident was the result of a misunderstanding. The post went viral overnight, and fans urged Salman to accept the apology. No one publicly addressed the matter.

Salman Khan Clarifies
In Bigg Boss 19, Salman finally broke his silence on the matter for the first time. He admitted that the misunderstanding was his, not Arijit's. Salman Khan said, "Arijit and I are very good friends. It was a misunderstanding, and it was my fault. After that, he even sang for me. He sang in 'Tiger 3.' He's also singing in 'Galwan' (Battle of Galwan)."
'Battle of Galwan' is Salman Khan's upcoming film.
