After Jasprit Bumrah got injured and was ruled out of the Champions Trophy, the Indian team is in no condition to bear another setback. But the news coming about Rishabh Pant before the tournament starts on February 19 is frightening. On Sunday, Rishabh Pant injured his knee during practice at the ICC Academy Ground in Dubai. Cricket fans around the world are praying for his speedy recovery. Everyone is now eager to know how serious Pant's injury is and whether he will be able to recover before the first match against Bangladesh on February 20.

How did Rishabh Pant get injured?
As you all know, the Indian team has reached Dubai for the Champions Trophy starting on February 19. On Sunday, the team took part in the first practice session. With the new standard operating procedure (SOP) being strictly implemented, there was no question of alternative practice, so everyone from captain Rohit Sharma to young Harshit Rana practiced. Meanwhile, a powerful shot by Hardik Pandya hit Rishabh Pant in the knee.
Rishabh Pant writhed in pain.
It was found that he groaned in pain, but physio Kamlesh Jain treated him immediately. Hardik Pandya came out of the nets to know about his condition. However, the injury was not serious and Pant immediately came wearing pads for batting practice. But the team management is not in the mood to take any kind of risk. Rishabh Pant, who narrowly escaped a fatal accident in December 2022, has undergone knee surgery. BCCI chief selector Ajit Agarkar has already said that Rishabh Pant will be India's first-choice wicketkeeper for the England ODI series and the Champions Trophy.
Bumrah has already been ruled out
The selectors have included Harshit Rana in the team in place of Bumrah for the ICC Champions Trophy starting on February 19 hosted by Pakistan. Bumrah could not recover from the lower back injury he suffered during the Australia tour. The selectors have also included Varun Chakraborty in the team. He will replace Yashasvi Jaiswal, who was initially included in the announced team. Under the hybrid model agreement, India will play all its matches of the tournament in Dubai.
The Indian team announced for the ICC Champions Trophy includes Rohit Sharma (captain), Shubman Gill (vice-captain), Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul (wicketkeeper), Rishabh Pant (wicketkeeper), Hardik Pandya, Axar Patel, Washington Sundar, Kuldeep Yadav, Harshit Rana, Mohammed Shami, Arshdeep Singh, Ravindra Jadeja and Varun Chakraborty.
