Ranbir Kapoor's 'Love and War' delay has stalled the 'Ramayana' timeline, and fans are disappointed that it's also affecting another film..

Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor's upcoming films have generated tremendous excitement among audiences, but the delay of one of his highly anticipated films has disappointed his fans. Sanjay Leela Bhansali's directorial venture, 'Love and War', will not be released on its scheduled date. The film was initially slated for a March 2026 release, but now there are talks of it being postponed to August or September 2026. This change has not only affected one film but has also impacted the plans for Ranbir Kapoor's other mega-project, 'Ramayana'.

Extended Shooting Schedule for Love and War
According to sources associated with 'Bollywood Hungama', the shooting of 'Love and War' has been extended beyond expectations. Bhansali is creating this project on a grand scale, which has led to a continuous expansion of the shooting schedule. It is being reported that the film's shooting will now continue until May 2026.  Therefore, a release in March or June 2026 is no longer possible for the makers. This delay has directly impacted 'Ramayana', which is being directed by Nitesh Tiwari. The 'Ramayana' team wanted at least a six-month gap between the releases of 'Love and War' and 'Ramayana' so that both of Ranbir Kapoor's films could have their own distinct identity. However, the possibility of this gap being reduced has reportedly disappointed some members of the team.

Impact on 'Ramayana'
According to reports, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal have blocked their calendars for a long time for this film. The increase in shooting days has also affected their other projects. However, the makers believe that there will be no compromise on the quality of the film, even if the release is delayed.

Ranbir and Sanjay Leela's Reunion
'Love and War' marks the reunion of Ranbir Kapoor and Sanjay Leela Bhansali after almost two decades. The two had previously worked together in 2007. Ranbir has praised Bhansali on several occasions, saying that working with him is challenging but also a very rewarding experience as an artist.

Regarding the film 'Ramayana.'
On the other hand, 'Ramayana' is considered one of the most ambitious films in Hindi cinema. In this film, Ranbir Kapoor will be seen as Lord Rama, while Sai Pallavi will play Sita and Yash will portray Ravana. Sunny Deol will play Hanuman, and Ravi Dubey will be seen as Lakshman. It is reported that the editing of the first part of the Ramayana is almost complete. Ultimately, only time will tell whether these two major films of Ranbir Kapoor's career will live up to audience expectations. Currently, all eyes are on the final release dates of these films.
