Nitesh Tiwari’s 'Ramayana' is one of the most highly anticipated films of the year. It is set to make a grand impact in theaters ahead of the Diwali festival. The makers have invested heavily in its production and are putting significant effort into its promotion. With only a few days left until its theatrical release, discussions regarding its OTT debut have gained momentum.

Where will 'Ramayana' be available to watch on OTT?
'Ramayana' is being released on a massive scale, hitting theaters worldwide. Following its theatrical run, audiences are eager to know about its OTT release. It has been confirmed by the film's team that an agreement has been reached between producer Namit Malhotra’s 'Prime Focus Studios' and JioHotstar.
Viewers will have to pay to watch the film on the digital platform.
While it is now known which OTT platform will host the film—which features a star-studded cast including Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, Yash, and Sunny Deol—it has also been revealed that viewers will need to spend extra to watch it.
For now, 'Ramayana' will be released under a 'pay-per-view' model.
Although audiences will be able to watch it on the OTT platform, they will need to purchase separate access to do so.
It is reported that this option will be available to viewers on JioHotstar through a special 'on-demand' feature; in other words, the film will not be included as part of a regular OTT subscription.

When will it be available on OTT?
'Ramayana' is scheduled for a pan-India theatrical release on November 5, 2026. While the OTT platform has been identified, there is no official information yet regarding exactly when it will be released online. Typically, there is an eight-to-ten-week window between a film's theatrical release and its OTT release. Given this, it is expected that 'Ramayana' could become available for streaming on OTT platforms—under a 'pay-per-view' model—around January 2027.
