Cough, cold, and fever become common occurrences during the monsoon months. Children are at the highest risk of this. Due to going to school and playing outside, children get a fever quickly in the rainy season, which lasts for a long time. In case of fever during monsoon, it is not enough to give medicines to children, but special care has to be taken about their food and drink. Due to wrong eating habits, fever can also reach the bones, which is dangerous.

Children often insist on eating outside food during a fever. But in case of fever, especially in the monsoon, children should be kept away from outside food. At the same time, some such things should be included in their diet, which boost immunity, give strength to the body, and increase blood. Let's know from the experts what should be given to the child when he has a fever and what should not?
What do the experts say?
Dr. Rajiv Ranjan, Senior Consultant of Nidan Mother and Child Care, says that at this time it is raining heavily across the country. In this rainy season, the chances of children getting viral infections and fever increase manifold. In such a situation, many people have a question about what should be given to the child and what should not be? As everyone knows, whenever there is a high fever, our appetite becomes weak. In such a situation, easily digestible things should always be given to the patient with a fever.
What to give in case of fever?
According to Dr. Rajiv Ranjan, give light food to the child when he has a fever. Like moong dal khichdi, porridge, oats, coconut water, and ORS. ORS is very important. Because if the child is not eating food but you are giving him ORS, then the child's calorie intake will remain, which helps in fighting the disease.

Keep the child away from these things when they have a fever.
Doctors say that the child has to be kept away from cold things in fever. Like juice and fruits. Because in viral infection, the child's throat gets sore quickly. In such a situation, they should avoid cold things. Outside food should be avoided. Also, food with too much chili spices should not be given. In this situation, give the child as much water as possible, so that the body remains hydrated and the fever will be cured quickly.
