Serves: 4
Ingredients:
Gram flour: 1 cup
Ghee: 1/2 cup
Sugar: 1 cup
Water: 2 cups
Cardamom powder: 1/2 teaspoon
Cashews, almonds (chopped): for garnishing
Method:
First, heat ghee in a pan over medium heat.
Once the ghee melts, add gram flour and stir continuously.
Fry the gram flour until it turns golden and a pleasant aroma emanates. Be sure to keep stirring the gram flour, or it may burn.
When the gram flour is thoroughly roasted, add water and sugar. Reduce the heat to low.
Continuously stir the mixture to prevent lumps from forming.

When the halwa thickens and begins to leave the sides of the pan, add cardamom powder.
Turn off the heat and garnish with chopped dry fruits.
Your delicious and granular gram flour halwa is ready. Offer it to Goddess Durga and then share it with the entire family as prasad.
