Shardiya Navratri 2025 Fashion: The festival of Shardiya Navratri is starting from 22 September 2025 and will end on Mahanavami date on 1 October 2025. Navratri is not limited to goddess worship and fasting, but is a confluence of both faith and fashion. Every day in Shardiya Navratri, different forms of Goddess Durga are worshiped. All the goddesses have their favorite colors. Every day, a particular color is also considered important. It is said that wearing these colors not only gives positive energy but also increases good luck in life.

If you cannot prepare clothes of nine different colors, then definitely get dupattas of nine colors prepared. Even with a simple outfit, these will make you look stylish and ethnic. You can prepare fusion outfits by mixing and matching dupattas. You can wear lightly embroidered dupattas, net, and shiny dupattas for Garba nights. On this Sharadiya Navratri, keep aside these nine auspiciously colored dupattas for worship.
Nine days and nine colors of Navratri 2025
First day - Color of Maa Shailputri
Ghatasthapana takes place on the first day of Navratri, and on this day, the Shailputri form of Maa Durga is worshiped. Maa Shailputri's favorite color is white. Therefore, on the first day of Navratri, wearing a white colored dupatta with any of your dark colored clothes and worshiping the mother and doing Ghatasthapana, one gets the immense blessings of the mother. Wearing a white colored dupatta on this day also maintains happiness and peace in the house.
Favorite color of Maa Brahmacharini on the second day
On the second day of Navratri, Maa Brahmacharini, the goddess of wisdom and knowledge, is worshiped. The favorite color of Maa Brahmacharini is considered to be orange. This color also transmits positive energy. If you worship Maa Brahmacharini wearing an orange colored scarf on your head on this day, then positive energy will flow in the house by the grace of the mother.
Third day - Color of Chandraghanta Mata
On the third day of Navratri, Mother Chandraghanta is worshipped. Mother Chandraghanta is considered the goddess of valor. Mother Chandraghanta's favorite color is red, which is a symbol of protection and power. Therefore, for the worship on the third day of Navratri, definitely get a red colored scarf ready. A red dupatta will make any ordinary dress festive.
Fourth day - Color of Mother Kushmanda
On the Chaturthi of Navratri, Mother Kushmanda is worshipped. Mother Kushmanda is very fond of the color blue. Therefore, by wearing a blue colored chunari and worshipping on this day, one gets the full blessings of the mother, and happiness and prosperity remain in the house.
Fifth day - Favorite color of Mother Skandamata
On the Panchami date of Navratri, Mother Skandamata is worshipped. Skandmata loves the yellow colour very much. Yellow colour is considered a symbol of happiness, peace, and wealth. Therefore, adopt the yellow colour on the fifth day of Navratri; this will maintain happiness and peace in your life, and there will be no shortage of wealth. A yellow dupatta on a traditional salwar-suit will make the look fresh.
Sixth day - Color of Maa Katyayani
On the sixth day of Navratri, Maa Katyayani is worshipped. Maa Katyayani is the goddess of peace, and her favourite colour is green. It is believed that if you adopt green colour on this day, the green dupatta will give a fresh and ethnic touch during the fast.
Seventh day - Color of Maa Kalratri Mata
The seventh day of Navratri is dedicated to Maa Kalratri. This form of the mother is considered fierce and radiant. Her favourite colour is grey or brown. Therefore, on the seventh day of Navratri, one should wear brown or grey coloured clothes and a dupatta and worship the mother.
Eighth day, Mahagauri's favourite colour
The Mahagauri form of the goddess is worshipped on Durga Ashtami. Maa Mahagauri rides a cow, and her colour is considered white. Wearing white and purple coloured clothes is considered auspicious on this day. You can also wear a purple or white dupatta.

Navami Siddhidatri Mata's Colour
Maa Siddhidatri is worshipped on the last day of Navratri i.e., Navami. Maa Siddhidatri is considered the goddess of wealth and success and red and yellow colours are considered her favourite colours. Therefore, it is considered auspicious to worship by wearing a red or yellow dupatta on Mahanavami.
