Shashank Singh has so far scored 423 runs in his IPL career at an average of 35.25, which includes 2 half-centuries. In IPL 2024, Shashank scored 354 runs in 14 matches at an average of 44.25. In view of this, Punjab Kings retained Shashank for Rs 5.5 crore even before the IPL 2025 mega auction.
Shashank has a special attachment to Chennai
Shashank Singh also revealed that he has been a fan of Chennai Super Kings since the inception of IPL. He said, "My first love in IPL was CSK, and the reason for this is Mahi Bhai. When CSK lost to Rajasthan Royals in the 2008 final, I was very sad."
