Fenugreek is a green leafy nutritious vegetable. Most people eat hot parathas prepared from fenugreek leaves. If you are bored of eating fenugreek parathas, then you can make fenugreek rice or methi rice for dinner. The taste of fenugreek rice is exactly like pulao. It is not only tasty but also nutritious. You will be satisfied in every way after eating it. Whenever you feel like eating something different or want to change the taste of your mouth, then this dish can be relied upon. It will not disappoint you at all. You can also enjoy it with any vegetable or fried gram dal.

Ingredients
Rice - 1 cup
Fenugreek leaves - 250 grams
Green peas - half cup
Oil or ghee - as required
Tomato - 1 chopped
Onion - 1 chopped
Green chili - 2 chopped
Ginger - 1 piece
Garlic - 5-10 cloves
Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
Garam masala - 1/2 teaspoon
Red chili powder - 1/2 teaspoon
Cumin seeds whole - half teaspoon
Small cardamom - 2-3
Salt - according to taste
Coriander leaves - for garnish
Method
- First of all, wash the rice thoroughly. Now cook it in a cooker, and make sure that the rice is not too wet.
- Only then the taste of fenugreek rice will be exactly like pulao. Now put oil in a pan and heat it well.
- Clean ginger, garlic, onion, tomato, green chili, coriander leaves and chop them finely. Now add cumin seeds to the pan.
- Then add ginger, green chili, cardamom, and garlic and fry. Now add onion, tomato, and fry till it becomes golden brown.
- Clean the fenugreek leaves with water two to three times. You can also chop it finely.

- Put fenugreek and peas in the pan and cook while stirring. After cooking it for 3-4 minutes, add turmeric, red chili powder, garam masala.
- Now add salt as per taste and mix. Remove the pan from the gas. Take out the fenugreek mixture in a bowl.
- Now put the pan on the gas and add some ghee or oil to it. Also, add cooked rice and prepared fenugreek mixture to it.
- Stir it well. Garnish it with coriander leaves. Fenugreek rice is ready. Serve it hot.
