On Mahashivratri on Wednesday, a scene similar to the Prayagraj Mahakumbh was seen in Kashi. From Hanuman Ghat to Baba's Dham, devotees witnessed a divine and grand view. This was the first time Naga sadhus and sanyasis entered Kashi Vishwanath Dham through gate number four i.e. Gyanvapi Marg. Chanting Har-Har Mahadev, a group of Naga sanyasis reached the Dham. Earlier, Naga sanyasis used to get entry into the temple premises from Dhundhiraj Ganesh Marg.

Naga sanyasis were welcomed with a flower shower at Kashi Vishwanath Dham. During this, all the officials were also present on the spot.

Seven Akharas of Naga sanyasis performed Jalabhishek of their revered Baba Vishwanath on Mahashivratri. Under the leadership of Acharya Mahamandleshwar, Naga sadhus and sanyasis came out of the Akharas riding on carriages, horses, and vehicles.

When the procession of Naga ascetics came out with the waves of Ganga, the sound of damru, and the blowing of conch in the streets of Kashi, people were seen chanting Har Har Mahadev. Mahant Shankar Puri Maharaj said that this was the first time that Naga ascetics entered Kashi Vishwanath Dham from gate number four.

The procession was led by the Mahamandaleshwars of the Akharas.

The royal procession was taken out under the leadership of Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Swami Avdheshanand Giri of Juna Akhara, Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Kailashanand Giri of Niranjani Akhara, Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Balakanand Giri of Anand Akhara, Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Vishokanand Maharaj of Mahanirvani Akhara, Peethadheeshwar Swami Narendranand Saraswati of Sumerupeeth and President of Akhara Parishad Ravindra Puri Maharaj.

Chief Executive Officer of Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple Vishwabhushan Mishra said that the entry of Akharas started in the temple premises at seven in the morning. During this time, thousands of Naga Sadhus and Sanyasis were involved in the royal procession.

After bathing in the Brahma muhurta, Naga Sadhus came out of the Akharas and gathered at Godaulia.

To offer the religious flag to Baba Vishwanath on Mahashivratri, Naga Sadhus started preparations from the Brahma muhurta itself. After bathing in the Ganga, Sadhus of Agni Akhara left from Rajghat at four in the morning, Nagas of Anand Akhara left from Adikeshav Ghat and Naga Sanyasis left from Shri Shambhu Panchdashnam Juna Akhara at Hanuman Ghat at six in the morning. All the Akharas gathered together at Godaulia and from there left for Baba Vishwanath's Dham. The procession included 12 chariots, horses, the Damru team along with bandbaja.
