Mahakumbh 2025 Last Date: The massive religious event of Mahakumbh started on the auspicious day of Paush Purnima on 13 January 2025, which will conclude on 26 February 2025 on the day of Mahashivratri. Bathing in Triveni Sangam during Mahakumbh is considered very virtuous. According to religious beliefs, bathing in Kumbh during Magh month destroys all sins and the person attains salvation. It is also said that properly bathing in Mahakumbh gives the same virtuous results as Ashwamedha Yagya.

Major bathing festivals of Mahakumbh 2025

Some special dates are considered very auspicious for the Sangam bath in the Mahakumbh fair organized from 13 January 2025. During this, the first bath was on the day of Paush Purnima on 13 January 2025. After this, the first Amrit Snan was done on the occasion of Makar Sankranti on 14 January 2025, while on 29 January 2025, on Mauni Amavasya, crores of people took a dip of faith in the second Amrit Snan.

After this, the third Amrit Snan was done on Basant Panchami on 3 February 2025. Magh Purnima on 12 February 2025 was the fifth important bath. Now the last important bath of Mahakumbh 2025 is on the occasion of Mahashivratri on 26 February 2025, with which Mahakumbh 2025 will come to an end.

Importance of Amrit Snan in Mahakumbh

Amrit Snan has special significance in Mahakumbh, in which the sanyasis, mahants, and Naga sadhus of the Akharas take baths under special rituals along with their followers. The third and last royal bath in the Kumbh of 2025 was on the day of Basant Panchami (3 February 2025).
