Flights are affected due to runway repairs and parallel taxiway construction at Amausi Airport Lucknow. In such a situation, there are preparations to operate some flights from Lucknow Airport to Varanasi Airport. Flights from Hyderabad, Mumbai, Bangalore, and Delhi can be shifted to Babatpur Airport.

Airport Authority officials said that someday flights can be shifted. Some flights can also take off from Azamgarh Airport.

Lucknow Airport will remain closed from 10 am to 6 pm from March 1 to July. Currently, there are some morning and late evening flights. Some flights have been canceled. Before Holi, there are preparations to operate most of the flights from airports around Varanasi and Lucknow.
