India Vs England Pataudi Trophy: This trophy will be given to the winner of the India and England Test series this time. There is confusion on this matter. The series was won by captain Rahul Dravid's team. After this, till 2022-23, whenever England hosted India, the Pataudi Trophy was given to the winner of the Test series.

In the year 2025, the BCCI and the English Cricket Board decided that the winner would now be given the Tendulkar-Anderson Trophy instead of the Pataudi Trophy. This was in a way an insult to former captains Iftikhar Ali Khan Pataudi and Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi. Iftikhar Ali Khan was a cricketer who played for both India and England. His son Mansoor Ali Khan is counted among the great captains of India. I don't know why people remained silent when the BCCI decided to end the Pataudi legacy in 2025.

Perhaps one of the reasons for the silence of the fans was that the trophy was to be given in the name of Sachin Tendulkar instead of the Pataudi Trophy, which was an honor for the Master Blaster. Now whether the board understands or not, Sachin is a player. He knows how to respect. Perhaps that is why he has appealed to keep the Pataudi legacy intact.

Now it remains to be seen how much Sachin's appeal works. But, certainly, Sachin does not want to make his line bigger by shortening someone else's line. After Sachin's appeal, the launch of the Tendulkar-Anderson Trophy has been postponed.
