According to PTI, the screening of the film "Sholay" has been cancelled at the International Film Festival of India (IFFI). Find out why. A special tribute will be paid to actor Dharmendra on the final day of the festival.

Prakash Magdum, Managing Director of the National Film Development Corporation (NFDC), told PTI, "We will pay tribute to our beloved and legendary actor Dharmendra at the closing ceremony of the film festival. We received the sad news of Dharam ji's passing on Monday. A minute's silence was observed as a mark of respect at the closing ceremony at the Film Bazaar."
Why was the screening of "Sholay" cancelled?
The 4K restored version of "Sholay" was scheduled to be screened today, November 26, at the International Film Festival of India. However, the organizers have cancelled it due to technical reasons. The film will also have a session on November 27. The film celebrated its golden jubilee just a few months ago. The film's director, Ramesh Sippy, will be present at this session.
