If you think that bullet trains are the only high-speed trains, then wait a minute. Indian Railways has now put trains running at a speed of more than 130 km per hour in the category of 'High-Speed Train'. That is, every train running at a speed of more than 130 km per hour will be called a 'high-speed train'. Now trains like Rajdhani, Shatabdi, and Vande Bharat have also been included in the high-speed (Railway High Speed Train) category.

Not only this, now the railway is also preparing to bring bullet trains with a speed of 280 and 320 km per hour. Now the next time your train crosses the speed of 130, then think, how will the journey of a bullet train be at the speed of 280 and 320 in the coming time?
Work started on 280 and 320 kmph bullet trains.
Indian Railways is working fast on the 320 kmph bullet train project. Preparations are in full swing for the high-speed bullet train between Mumbai and Ahmedabad. Apart from this, the Railways are also working on a plan to develop a new train capable of running at a speed of 280 kmph.
Railways changed the category of high-speed trains
Earlier, trains with a speed of more than 110 kmph in Indian Railways were considered high-speed. But now according to the new rule, only trains with a speed of more than 130 kmph will come under the high-speed category. With this, Rajdhani, Shatabdi, Vande Bharat, and many other superfast trains have been included in this new category.
Loco pilot and new security system
With the growing network of high-speed trains, the railway is also making new rules regarding the medical fitness of the loco pilot. Till 1989, a speed of 110 km per hour was considered high speed, but with time this standard increased and now the limit has been fixed at 130 km per hour.
India towards fast and safe travel
Railways says that in the coming time, the network of superfast and high-speed trains in India will be strengthened. This will not only provide fast travel to the passengers but will also provide state-of-the-art facilities and better security.
