Best Winter Cream for Baby: Babies need extra care during the cold season. But simply wrapping them in warm clothes isn't enough. Choosing the right cream for their skin is also essential. However, most people apply the same winter cream to their children as they do themselves. While this is wrong, adult skincare products contain harsh chemicals that can damage children's delicate skin. This can lead to problems like redness, allergies, rashes, and itching.
So, how should children's skin be cared for during the changing seasons? Parenting coach Archana Malik explained this in a recent Instagram post. You can also learn which creams to use on your baby and which to avoid, and important tips for skin protection from this expert's post.
Choose a Lightweight Cream
Experts advise always choosing a lightweight cream for your baby that isn't sticky but still hydrates the skin properly. Water-based and gel-textured creams are best for babies. The key is that they absorb easily into the baby's skin, providing cooling and comfort. However, sticky creams can clog the baby's pores.
Keep these things in mind when choosing a baby cream:
Glycerin - Glycerin locks in moisture, preventing dryness. It also keeps the baby's skin soft and healthy.

Chamomile - A soothing ingredient that protects the baby's skin from allergies. Applying it prevents itching, redness, or rashes.
Cocoa glycerides - This ingredient softens the baby's skin and soothes dryness. If you're looking for a natural product for your baby, this could be a great option, as it's made from coconut.
Corn starch – If your baby has excessive dryness in the diaper area, then use a cream that contains corn starch.
