The first batch of the Indian cricket team left for Dubai on Saturday afternoon to participate in the ICC Champions Trophy. During this, captain Rohit Sharma, and star batsman Virat Kohli were captured in the media camera. According to the new rules of BCCI, the families of the players were not seen with them.

B CCI's new policy became a hindrance

According to the new rules, the Board of Control for Cricket in India does not allow families to accompany players on tours of less than 45 days. The tournament, which will run from February 19 to March 9, will run for three weeks. This means that families will not be present to cheer the Men in Blue in Dubai.

Will the players' families not be seen in the tournament?

If the player still wants to take his family members along on the tour, then the player will have to bear all the expenses of the family members himself. The BCCI will not bear the expenses of the player's family members. Restrictions have also been imposed on personal staff (managers, agents, and chefs), who earlier used to travel with the team and coaching staff.

Champions Trophy 2025 Schedule

The match will be played in a hybrid model where India will play all their matches in Dubai and Pakistan will play all their matches on their home soil. The opening match will be played between hosts Pakistan and New Zealand on February 19 while the final will be held on March 9. Team India will play their first match against Bangladesh before taking on Pakistan on February 23.
