Baby Winter Massage Tips: Massage is very beneficial for a newborn baby's soft skin and physical development. Regular baby massage is also crucial for strengthening bones. However, parents sometimes make mistakes while massaging their babies, which can lead to several problems. These mistakes can cause physical discomfort or make the baby irritable. Therefore, today we will tell you about 6 mistakes that should be avoided while massaging your baby in winter. This information has been shared by renowned pediatrician Dr. Mohit Sethi in a video on his Instagram handle. Let's find out...

1. Do not massage after bathing
Dr. Mohit explains that in winter, most parents massage their babies after bathing, which can be a big mistake. Instead, massage your baby thoroughly before bathing.
2. Do not use cold oil
In winter, always warm the oil slightly before massaging. The pediatrician explains that applying cold oil to the baby's body can make them uncomfortable and cause them to cry.
3. Do not massage with too much force
Never massage babies with too much force. This can leave bruises on the baby's skin. Parents should massage their baby with gentle hands in a circular motion.
4. Do not use incorrect techniques
Dr. Mohit Sethi explains that some parents or massage therapists hold the baby by the neck and hang them, which can be a very big mistake. Therefore, do not use any incorrect techniques while massaging your baby; otherwise, it can lead to physical problems.
5. Do not keep a long gap between massage and bathing
Parents can bathe their baby 20 to 30 minutes after the massage. Make sure you don't leave a long gap between the massage and the bath. In addition, be sure to apply moisturizer 2 to 3 minutes after bathing the child to lock in the skin's moisture.
6. Do not massage in a cold room
A baby should never be massaged in a cold room. Parents should turn on a heater or blower in the room and warm it up before massaging the baby.
