In Ayodhya, the city of Lord Rama, a five-day cultural and religious ceremony is once again being held at the Ram Temple. It will begin on December 28th and continue until January 2nd, marking the second anniversary of Lord Rama's consecration. Lord Rama was consecrated on Paush Shukla Dwadashi in 2024, which, according to the Hindi calendar, falls on December 31st this year. Last year, it fell on January 11th, 2025. Now, on December 31st, 2025, the second anniversary of Lord Rama's consecration will be celebrated with great fanfare at the Ram Temple. Many devotees are wondering whether the Ram Temple will be open for darshan (viewing) on December 31st. This report will answer these questions in detail.

In fact, a five-day cultural and religious ceremony will be held at the Ram Temple complex in Ayodhya on the occasion of Pratishtha Dwadashi. The cultural programs will be held near the exit of the Ram Temple, at Angad Tila. Common devotees will also be able to participate. The program, which begins on December 28th, will conclude on January 2nd. Therefore, on December 31st, Lord Rama's shrine will remain open for darshan for devotees as usual. On December 31st, devotees will also be able to witness Lord Rama's adornment and अभिषेक (consecration ceremony). If devotees are unable to come to Ayodhya on that day, they can still witness the ceremony from their homes, as the Ram Temple Trust has made extensive arrangements for this.
First Anniversary Celebrated on January 11th Last Year
Dr. Anil Mishra, a member of the Ram Temple Trust, said that last year, the date of Pratishtha Dwadashi was January 11th. This time, it is December 31st. On this day, Lord Rama's consecration ceremony will be held at 9:30 AM. Devotees can have darshan as usual on that day, and if they cannot come to Ayodhya, they can still witness Lord Rama's consecration ceremony at the Ram Temple from their homes. The Trust has also requested Doordarshan (India's national broadcaster) to provide live coverage.
Many renowned artists from across the country will participate.
Anil Mishra said that devotees visiting Ayodhya will not only get to see Lord Ram but can also participate in the five-day program. For this, religious and cultural programs will be organized for the devotees at Angad Tila, the exit route of the Ram Temple, on the occasion of the five-day Pratishtha Dwadashi. Many prominent artists from across the country will perform there. Malini Awasthi, Anup Jalota, and several other renowned artists will also sing devotional songs in praise of Lord Ram.
