The prize money for this final to be played at Lord's ground from June 11 has been announced. The amount fixed by the ICC for the winning team is double that of the previous edition. This time, the winning team will get bumper money. This year, the winning team will get 3.6 million US dollars i.e., Rs 30.81 crore. At the same time, when Australia won the final in 2023, they got 1.6 million dollars i.e., Rs 13.69 crore.

The team losing in the final i.e., the runner up, will get 2.1 million US dollars (Rs 17.96 crore), which is more than the winning amount of the last two times. At the same time, the runner-up of the last two editions got 800,000 US dollars, i.e., Rs 6.84 crore. The ICC said in its statement on Thursday, 'The increase in prize money reflects the ICC's efforts to prioritize Test cricket, as it will maintain the momentum of the first three cycles of the nine-team competition.'

South Africa topped the WTC cycle with 69.44 per cent with a 2-0 home series win over Sri Lanka and Pakistan. Defending champions Australia achieved 67.54 percent, while India achieved 50.00 percent after topping the table most of the time.
