Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan's son, Aryan Khan, has once again landed in controversy. A recent video clip of Aryan Khan is now going viral on social media, in which he allegedly made an obscene gesture by showing his middle finger in a pub. Following the video's virality, a lawyer in Bengaluru has filed a complaint against him.
What does the complaint say?
Lawyer Owais Hussain S. claims in his complaint that several women were present during the incident. He states that Aryan's behavior is an insult to their dignity. The complaint also states that such an obscene gesture is a violation of public decency and social norms. He has demanded that the Bengaluru Director General of Police, City Commissioner, DCP, and the concerned police station register an FIR.
Police launch an immediate investigation.
The Bengaluru police have started an investigation into the matter after receiving the complaint. The police said they are investigating the incident based on CCTV footage from the club premises and social media video posts. Currently, the case has been registered under Section 173B of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 (BNS), which deals with public indecency. If the allegations are proven, sections related to indecency or public obscenity may be applied.
What was the sequence of events?
Let's talk about the timeline of this entire incident:
– The incident allegedly took place on November 28, when Aryan went to a pub in Bengaluru to attend a promotional event.
– In the video, Aryan Khan is seen entering a gathering, waving to the crowd, and later suddenly making an obscene gesture.
– The video went viral, sparking controversy on social media and among the legal community.
What could happen next?
If the police find the allegations to be true after examining the CCTV and social media videos, an FIR will be registered, and potential prosecution may follow. However, it is not yet clear whether the police will arrest Aryan or proceed only after further investigation and hearings. Aryan Khan has been involved in a drug case before.

Earlier, Aryan Khan made headlines in October 2021 when he was arrested by the NCB in connection with an alleged drug case on the Cordelia cruise ship in Mumbai. The arrest was made during a raid on a rave party. He was granted bail after spending three weeks in judicial custody. A subsequent investigation by the NCB's SIT stated that no drugs were found on Aryan, nor was there any evidence of drug consumption, after which all charges against him were dropped in May 2022. This controversy raised major political and social questions about Bollywood and the functioning of central agencies.
