Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India]: Actor Farhan Akhtar celebrated a special moment in his daughter Akira’s life as she turned 18 on Thursday. Marking the occasion, he took to Instagram to post a heartfelt message accompanied by a cherished photo.

The snapshot features a mirror selfie of Akira, with Farhan standing behind her, smiling warmly at the camera. The picture beautifully captures the essence of their father-daughter bond.

In the caption, Farhan wrote an emotional note, expressing his love and unwavering support:

On the professional front, Farhan is preparing for the release of his much-awaited project, Superboys of Malegaon.

Earlier this week, Farhan unveiled the trailer on his Instagram, offering fans a glimpse of the film’s compelling narrative.

Produced by Farhan Akhtar, Zoya Akhtar, and Ritesh Sidhwani, and helmed by Reema Kagti, the film follows the journey of Nasir Shaikh, a determined filmmaker from Malegaon. Despite limited resources and challenges, Nasir and his friends team up to create movies without being able to travel to Mumbai, India’s filmmaking hub.

The cast includes talented actors like Adarsh Gourav, Vineet Kumar Singh, and Shashank Arora. Based on a true story, Superboys of Malegaon highlights the perseverance, passion, and challenges of aspiring filmmakers from small towns.

The movie is set for a theatrical release on February 28, 2025.
